Job Description
M&G Landscaping, LLC, located at 310R Newington Rd., West Hartford, CT 06110, phone number: +1 (860) 516-0866, is seeking 8 temporary full-time Landscape Technicians to work at 310R Newington Rd., West Hartford, CT 06110, from 04/01/2025 to 11/30/2025. Perform landscape and grounds maintenance using hand or power tools and equipment. Workers will be responsible for a variety of tasks that may include, but are not limited to, the following: mowing, trimming, blowing, planting, mulching, spreading topsoil, weeding, fertilizing, digging, and general garden upkeep. Responsibilities may also involve assisting with hardscape installation and maintenance, such as moving materials and debris, laying sod, backfilling soil with hand shovels, grading, and installing mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units, rock gardens, and garden decorations like stones. Load/unload equipment and materials as needed to support landscaping and hardscaping efforts. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintenance of all tools and equipment.
Job Requirements
No prior education is needed; however, 3 months of experience in landscape is required. On-the-job training will be provided. Must be able to lift 75 lbs for 25 yards, outdoor work, must be able to handle temperature extremes. Travel will be required within the area of intended employment.
Salary/Wages/Benefits
$21.61 an hour weekly, or approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Applicants may be offered more than advertised. The wage rate may vary based on experience and/or merit. Up to 10 hours of overtime may be available but not guaranteed; $32.42/hr for overtime. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck will be made as required by law. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay weekly by check. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. Optional daily transportation will be provided from and to the worksite.
